The order of business for monthly board meetings follows the general outline shown below. Homeowners are welcome to attend.

The meeting agenda is:

 Homeowner Concerns

  • Community Manager Reports
  • Financial Reports
  • Committee Reports
  • Old Business
  • New Business

Recycling

For recycling, please be sure to:

  • Place all recycling in containers provided by the county and any overflow recycling in paper bags only.
  • Place lawn clippings in large paper bags.

Recycling is picked up Wednesday mornings (unless a holiday moves it forward one day to Thursday). Please place all recycling in appropriate county issued containers and all lawn clippings in a large paper recycling bag (purchased by the owner at any local hardware store). Please go to the Montgomery County recycling web site at http://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/sws/recycling/ for more information on recycling.

The Montgomery County recycling holiday schedule is as follows:

  • New Year's Day - January 1
  • Martin Luther King, Jr., Day - third Monday in January
  • President's Day - Monday, February
  • Memorial Day - last Monday in May
  • Juneteenth - June 19th
  • Independence Day - July 4
  • Labor Day - first Monday in September
  • Veterans Day -  November 11
  • Thanksgiving Day - fourth Thursday in November
  • Christmas Day - December 25

For weeks where one of these holidays occurs, the recycling will be picked up on Thursday of that week.

Trash Pickup

Trash is picked up on Tuesday and Friday mornings. Trash pickup does not change days as a result of holidays.

  • Place all trash in heavy duty garbage cans.
  • Set trash out after 6 p.m on Monday and Thursday (nights before pickup).

Bulk Trash

Please be aware that the association must pay additional fees for large items abandoned at the curb. Residents wishing to responsibly dispose of unwanted furniture, bedding and appliances can contact the property manager for the names of vendors who will haul away such items for a very reasonable fee.

Twice each year, a cleanup day is scheduled by the association. This is your opportunity to clean and rid your house of unwanted bulky items, such as old furniture. Please place these items at curbside by 7am. Hazardous items (e.g. paint, chemicals, flammable liquids) will not be picked up. Please do not place items out after the morning pickup has been made.

To schedule a special pickup, you must telephone the Montgomery County Division of Solid Waste at 240-777-6410 to have your item picked up on the regularly scheduled day. Please do not put anything out earlier than the evening prior to a previously arranged pickup.

Maintaining Your Home

If you are changing the exterior of your house, you will need to file an application for exterior alteration before any work is done, including windows. Please also remember to keep your grass mowed and your yard tidy.

Parking

Each homeowner has two assigned parking spaces. There are a few parking spaces allocated for visitors only. Residents are not to use visitor parking spaces according to the governing documents. Vehicles must display the red visitor parking tag while parked in a visitor space. If you continually park in a visitor space, you risk being towed at your expense.
