Ashley Place Homeowners' Association Board Meetings

ATTENTION!!!! - ASHLEY PLACE SPRING BULK PICK-UP - Saturday, May 19th    -  The annual Spring bulk trash pick-up will take place on Saturday, May 19th. Please have all items on the curb NO LATER THAN 7AM. Owners who leave trash out after the pick-up may be subject to a fine. Please see the list of acceptable/unacceptable items below. In addition to the list below, no metal or construction material will be allowed.

The ASHLEY PLACE ANNUAL HOMEOWNERS MEETING will take place on June 13th at the Praisner Library at 7pm. All homeowners are encouraged to attend. This year's guest speaker will be Eric Luedtke from the Maryland House of Delegates. Board member elections will take place, as well as a review of the past year's activities and accomplishments. Refreshments will be served.

ASHLEY PLACE HOA Board Meeting changes for 2012 - Beginning January, 2012, all monthly board meetings will be held on the 2nd Wednesday of the month. All meetings (with the exception of the annual meeting in July) will take place at the Site Realty Group headquarters at 2141 Industrial Parkway (for directions see below) and all meetings in 2012 will begin at 7pm.  Specific 2012 meeting dates are:

• April 11
• May 9
• June 13 (Annual meeting, to be held at the Praisner Library.)

• December 12

Tanglewood Rec Board Meetings -Tanglewood Rec Association Board meetings are held on the first Wednesday of every month. All general meetings begin at 7:15pm and are held at the Marilyn Praisner Library (for directions, see below).

Locations and Directions

Site Realty Group (SRG)

Located at 2141 Industrial Parkway. To get there:

1. From Brahms Drive, go right on Fairland Rd. towards Route 29.
2. At Route 29, turn left.
3. Take Route 29 approximately 2 miles and turn left at Industrial Parkway. This should be the 3rd traffic light after turning on to Route 29.
4. Take Industrial Parkway about 1/4 mile (past the DMV) and the SRG headquarters is on the right, at the corner of Industrial Parkway and Tech Road.
5. There is limited parking in the SRG parking lot, as well as some street parking.

The Fairland Aquatic Center

Located at 13820/13950 Old Gunpowder Road. To get there:

1. From Brahms Drive, go 3/4 of the way around the circle and east on Fairland Rd.
2. Take Fairland Rd. until it ends at Briggs Chaney Rd. and turn right.
3. Take Briggs Chaney Rd. until it ends at Old Gunpowder Rd. and turn left.
4. Take Old Gunpowder Rd. for about 2 miles. The center will be the second building on the left (Just past the Ice Garden). You can't miss it.

The Burtonsville Giant Food

Located at 15618 Old Columbia Pike, Burtonsville, MD 20866, 301-476-7181

1. From Brahms Drive,  turn right onto Fairland Road to Colesville Rd. (Route 29).
2. Turn right on Route 29 and go north about 3 miles to the 198 exit.
3. Take the 198 exit and turn left (west) at the light.
4. Go  about 1/4 of a mile to the next light and turn right.
5. Turn left at the next light into the shopping center.
6. You can't miss the new Giant Food store.
7. The conference room is just to the left as you walk into the store, across from customer service.

The Marilyn Praisner Public Library

Located at 14910 Old Columbia Pike, Burtonsville, MD 20866, 240-773-9460

1. From Brahms Drive, go right on Fairland Road to Colesville Rd. (Route 29).
2. Turn right onto Route 29 and go about 2 miles to the light at Greencastle.
3. Turn left onto Greencastle.
4. Go down to the next light and turn right onto Old Columbia Pike.
5. Go about 1/2 mile or so and the library will be on the left.
6. The meeting room is straight ahead and to the right as you walk through the front door.

Cleanup Days - Two cleanup days are held each year. Specific dates will be placed on the web site. This is your opportunity to clean and rid your house of unwanted bulky items, such as old furniture. Please Place your items on the curbside by 7 AM. Hazardous materials (paint, pesticides, flammable liquids) will not be picked up. See the detailed list below of what is and what isn't acceptable for the special pickup.

Please DO NOT place items out AFTER the pickup has been made.

To schedule a special pickup for large items that are not acceptable for the special pickup, you must telephone the Montgomery County Division of Solid Waste at 240-777-6410 by Wednesday at 9:30am to have your item picked up on the regularly scheduled day of Thursday. Please do not put anything out earlier than the Wednesday evening prior to a previously arranged pickup.
